BCD Group is an NZ owned and operated consultancy that has been going strong since 2010. Born out of Hamilton, over the last 10 years we’ve expanded our footprint to Tauranga and New Plymouth and now have over 120 staff as part of the team. We specialise in providing planning, surveying and engineering consulting services to a wide range of public and private sector clients throughout New Zealand.  We have many talented individuals in the team, we are passionate about what we do, and we aim to foster well-rounded property professionals.

As BCD continues to grow across all of our disciplines we are looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the team out of the normal cycle of graduate recruitment to keep our momentum going in Tauranga.

Our successful Graduate will be exposed to a variety of different projects happening across the Bay of Plenty region. All while being supported by our team of experienced engineers to help them develop their skillset as well-rounded structural engineers.

This role would suit someone with:

The types of tasks I enjoy the most are when I’m collaborating with clients to achieve great outcomes, the best feeling is getting a resource consent granted with minimal further requests of information from council.

To me what I love most about my job is when I have a problem, and work to find a couple of solutions and provide a good mini presentation to the reviewer/mentor/superior about what I think is correct.
