What are we offering?
Our Graduate Program will provide you with learning opportunities that are unique to Powerlink and the electricity sector.
Commencing January 2026, our Graduate Engineering (Electrical) Program will provide you with learning opportunities that are unique to Powerlink and the Energy Sector, working across Design, Systems, Field and Delivery rotations across 3 years before being fully integrated into a team that you love.
Our programs provide an exciting mix of on-the-job technical learning and professional development.

Who are we looking for?
You are an enthusiastic early career entrant who has graduated, or will be completing your studies in 2025. We are looking for graduates who have completed or will be completing degrees or dual-degrees in:
- Bachelor of Engineering majoring in: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics
- Dual Bachelor of Engineering and Business, Science, IT, Computer Science or Data Science
You love to challenge the status quo, looking at things with a fresh perspective whilst proactively finding creative and innovative solutions for your customers and stakeholders. You are comfortable talking with people at a variety of levels in the organisation, and you are confident in approaching new people and building relationships.

Graduate Program - Currently in the role of a Project Manager delivering renewable energy connection projects. I have mainly been involved in the proposal and design stage, preparing tender documentation for construction works for new substations or substation extensions.

Some of the policies and procedures involved working for a State Owned Enterprise are frustrating at times.
Some processes, some things can be a bit slow to action.
Steep learning curve of various software and continuity of software between departments
Participating in the Graduate program offers a dual-edged perspective. On one hand, it grants me the valuable opportunity to gain exposure across various facets of the company. However, just as I begin to establish a sense of comfort and familiarity within a specific role, the program requires me to transition to a fresh role within Powerlink.
The company is currently rapidly expanding to accommodate the energy transition which presents some difficulties such as lack of desk space.
